Italian CG for making use of existing opportunities for trade & joint ventures

Consul General of Italian, Gianluca Rubagotti has said that a lot of opportunities exist in both countries to boost bilateral trade and establish units in joint ventures. He assured that he would make all possible efforts to bring business communities of both Pakistan and Italy closure for boosting two-way trades. Speaking during a visit to Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), he emphasised the need for intensive interaction between the businessmen and traders of the two countries and exploring new avenues for promotion of bilateral trade and joint ventures.
President of KATI, Zahid Saeed on this occasion said, "A number of industries are using Italian machinery and now we should look forward for technology sharing. Italy has world-class technology." He stressed the need for expanding and strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and Italy. Head of Standing Committee on Diplomatic Affairs in KATI, Masood Naqi said that ample opportunities exist in Pakistan for trade, business and investment in the sectors of leather, sports, engineering, textile, foods and Gem industry, which could be availed by the Italian investors. He also briefed about possible sectors for technology sharing and manufacturing services. Vice president of KATI Syed Wajid Hussain, Chairman Pakistan Tanners Association Gulzar Firoz, Aarij Iqbal from Italian Development Committee Pakistan (IDC) and others were also present on the occasion.
