The Muttahida Qaumi Movement strike call on Wednesday remained ineffective and was largely ignored by Karachiites. All commercial and business activities including public and goods transport remained unaffected and educational institutions and offices remained open throughout the day.
The MQM had earlier appealed to the people across Sindh, particularly traders and transporters to call-off businesses activities and observe a strike to protest against the Rangers personnel for conducting a targeted raid on a tip-off at the residence of MQM senior leader Farooq Sattar in PIB colony late on Tuesday night.
