WHO Pakistan Awards: Sindh Governor's House hosts ceremony

A lavish yet dignified ceremony was held at Sindh Governor House to host the first-ever WHO's WHO Pakistan Awards, here on last Friday. Presiding over the ceremony as the Chief Guest, Governor of Sindh, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan said that today marks a momentous milestone for Pakistan since the countries now officially recognised as the 127th member country of the world-wide fraternity of WHO'S WHO. The great minds from Pakistan can now rub shoulders with their international counterparts in making the world a better place for everybody to live.
More than 60 stalwart professionals from public & private sector institutions including overseas Pakistanis were awarded with the highest honour of WHO'S WHO PROFESSIONALS AWARD during the awards ceremony, whose attendees numbered in around one thousand and included both young and seasoned professionals from every walk of life. The winners of the coveted first-ever WHO'S WHO professionals award included DG Sindh Judicial Academy, former Justice S. Ali Aslam Jafri, Chairman PCSIR Dr Shehzad Alam, DG training FBR Sameera Yaseen, DG (KIBGE) University of Karachi Dr Abid Azhar, K&N's CEO Khalil A. Sattar, Chairman HMR Group Haji Mohammad Rafiq Giga, Askari Guards' CEO Brigadier Akhtar Mahmood (R), super star film actor Jawaid Shaikh, renown orthopaedic surgeon Dr Imran Ali Shah, young entrepreneur Mehroz Rufi, Cooking expert Zubaida Tariq and others.
Guido Hellmich - international co-ordinator of WHO'S WHO was also present to witness the extravagant ceremony; former Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Mohammad Soomro and the Provincial Minister for Religious Affairs, Dr Abdul Qayyum Soomro also graced the ceremony with their presence.-PR
