Military science & management course: around 50 graduates awarded Master's degrees

Around 50 commissioned officers of the Pakistan Army were awarded Master Degrees in the field of Military Science and Management in the Convocation 2016 of the School of Artillery Nowshera. Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar (UoP) Professor Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan was the chief guest of the event and conferred degrees among the successful graduates. He was accompanied by Commandant School of Artillery Major General Asif Ali and Deputy Commandant Brigadier Mukhtar Ahmed.
The Vice Chancellor in his address congratulated the officer gunnery staff course on successful completion of one of the most premier course of Artillery and Management across the globe. He added the shining, young and vibrant graduates testify and speak volumes of training efforts of themselves and the school management. School of Artillery has had the honour of being host to founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, said the Vice Chancellor. He added the Pakistan now-a-days is facing numerous external and internal challenges whereas the security risk for the coming generations have also increased manifold.
Dr Jan underlined the need for a comprehensive diplomatic and defence strategies to arrest the cause and spread of insurgency and make the country peaceful. He added that the efforts of Pakistan Army are being underway in bringing peace in FATA and responding to any untoward natural and manmade disaster has remained unmatchable. Earlier, Commandant School of Artillery Major General Asif Ali in his speech said that School of Artillery is the second largest training institution of Pakistan Army in terms of its magnitude of trainers and trainees. He added 500 officers and 1500 soldiers are imparted training in this institution each year.
