On the directives of Chief Executive, Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) Anwar Ul Haq Yousafzai drive against illegal use of electricity is in full swing throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In this connection Pesco Wapda House Peshawar Surveillance team conducted raids in different areas of Peshawar Circle and nabbed 10 illegal connections in Sardhery, 6 in Peshawar Cantt, 17 in Hashtnagri, 4 in Chokeyadar,15 in Kissa Khani, 9 in Chamkani, 9 in Nishtarabad including direct connection of Hakim Khan Baba Hotel, illegal load of Ittehad Plaza, Ridwan Wielding Mashine, HabibUllah Sarai meter was found slow.
Similarly, electricity meters of Dr Shah Jehan, ZK Cable Nishtarabad and Contractor of Para Bagh were found slow which were replaced and sent to meter Laboratory. Similarly, surveillance team checked different areas of Swat Circle and nabbed 3 illegal connections in Mangora sub division, 9 in Dargai and 1 in Urban Sub-Division. A spokesman of Pesco has said that drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks will continue and warned to stop power pilferage in the larger interest of the nation.
