SCBA sets up committee to probe Murree incident

Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has constituted a three-member committee to probe the brutal incident occurred in Murree wherein one Maria died after being tortured and set on fire for refusing the marriage proposal. Barrister Ali Zafar, President Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) constituted a committee, comprising two former presidents of the Association including Kamran Murtaza and Ms Tehmina Mohibullah, the incumbent Member Executive of SCBA.
The committee was assigned the task to thoroughly enquire and probe into the matter in Murree and to ensure that the investigation of the crime is being conducted in a credible manner and in accordance with law, the culprits are brought to justice and thereafter to submit a report to the SCBA. The SCBA President strongly condemned the fact that hundreds of women are being killed in Pakistan with impunity and the culprits are getting away with daylight murder.-PR
