Another ambitious project by the company is Lucky Electric Power Company Limited, incorporated in Pakistan in the year2014, as a public unlisted Company. LEPCLhas been incorporated with the objectiveof setting up of 660 MW super critical coalbased power project in Karachi.
Lucky Cement has an edge over its competitors for being the only company with an effective and state-of-the-art setup for bulk transportation, and is catering to almost one-fifth of the country's cement needs. Lucky Cement produces Ordinary Portland Cement, Sulphate Resistant Cement and Clinker and sells both bagged and loose cement. It is also the largest exporter of Ordinary Portland Cement from Pakistan.
Pioneering in environmental conservation, the company has invested in a number of pro-environment projects at its plants including waste-heat-recovery plant, tyre-derived-fuel plant (TDF) and refused-derived-fuel to further enhance its green operations.
