After pre-monsoon rains over upper parts of the country, the mighty Indus is in low flood at Tarbela, Kalabagh and Chashma with over 2,40,000 cusecs water inflow at these places, Flood Warning Centre (FWC)said here on Thursday. It further said that the River Kabul has attained the stage of medium flood with inflow of 82,400 cusecs of water at Nowshera owing to heavy downpour in Peshawar valley during the past two days.
The Met Office recorded the pre-Monsoon rainfall as follows:

According to WAPDA's 16th June water report about the position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages, 25,8500 cusecs water is flowing in river Indus at Tarbela dam, 2,34,300 cusecs at Kalabagh and 2,44,500 cusecs at Chashma barrage.
The report said that 61,200 cusecs water is running in river Jhelum at Mangla: 77,400 cusecs in river , Chenab at Marala: Meanwhile the Met Office has forecast isolated rain/dust-thundershowers with strong gusty in upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Mardan, Peshawar divisions), FATA, Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions), Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Today. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
