One hurt in explosion near Hoti's residence

At least one person injured in an explosion occurred near the house of former chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti in Mardan on Thursday, police said. The bomb was planted in front of Hoti's house in an umbrella at a traffic police check post at Akbar Phatak, police sources said. Bomb Disposal Squad personnel said 500 grams of explosives were used in the making of the bomb. The blast left one passer-by injured, who was shifted to DHQ Hospital Mardan, said police officer.
