Complaints against KE common: Advisor to Ombudsman

Complaints against K-Electric are common and the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office is receiving applications most of which are against K-Electric. This was stated by Muhammad Yameen, Advisor to Federal Ombudsman. He was hearing applications of power users against overbilling of K-Electric at Camp Office, Deputy Commissioner Malir. He said that applications are daily being heard due to which dozens of citizens are happy and satisfied. He said that according to a common citizen, he does not have electricity but receive bills of huge amounts.
A female citizen Farah Hussain complained that K-Electric sent her excess bill. Advisor Muhammad Yameen directed K-Electric's representative for sending revised bill. Mufti Sadiq complained about overbilling in Ombudsman Court against K-Electric upon which K-Electric representative told in reply that hearing of this application is not possible due to time bar upon which Ombudsman Court advised applicant to contact K-Electric's concerned office, whatever help is possible, they will do.
Applicant Nizam Uddin told that he wants to take a new connection for his house but K-Electric men are not giving him the connection, upon which Advisor Muhmmad Yameen ordered to give connection instantly to that citizen. Applicant Hashim Ali told that there are two meters in his house and he pays bills on time despite that he is facing problem of overbilling Applicant Naseer Khan also complained about overbilling upon which Ombudsman Court provided instant justice to compensate his complaint. While Nisar Ahmed Khan told Ombudsman's Advisor that the decision made last week in his favour still it is not implemented, upon which complaint was noted and he was assured for implementation as soon as possible.
