Fake warnings on smartphones: Don't touch, just delete

Your phone has been infected with viruses and was severely damaged" or "Your device has been hacked and the battery was seriously damaged:" These are some of the warnings that may pop up on your smartphone display while surfing the net.
If they are linked to a request to tap an "OK" or "Download" button, you should ignore them and close the browser app immediately, anti-hacker experts at a German consumer advice centre advise.
Those who tap on one of those buttons may really end up downloading malicious software or inadvertently agreeing to a subscription.
