Farmers have been told to carry out pest-scouting of their crops twice a week, especially during the critical stage of flowering. The Punjab Agriculture Department has said its field staff has reported attack of white fly, aphid and pink bollworm and also advised them to contact its experts in case of any pest attack and use new anti-pesticide sprays.
