Sabri's killing: MQM announces three-day mourning

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), on Wednesday announced a three-day mourning period over the murder of famous qawwal Amjad Sabri in Karachi on Wednesday. In a statement, the MQM said that black flags would be hoisted on homes to mourn the death of Amjad Sabri. Sabri, the son of famous qawwal Ghulam Farid Sabri, was shot dead in Liaquatabad area of Karachi on Wednesday afternoon.
He suffered multiple bullet wounds and was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, former President Asif Zardri, Chairman PTI Imran Khan and others condemned the murder of Amjad Sabri while expressing sympathy with the bereaved family.
