Former President Asif Ali Zardari has strongly condemned the targeted killing of Qawwal Amjad Sabri in Karachi on Wednesday and demanded investigation into this heinous crime, arrest of the killers and punishment to them in accordance with the law.
In a condolence message, he said that the kidnapping a day earlier of the son of Chief Justice SHC and the assassination on Wednesday of Qawwal Amjad Sabri showed that the terrorists and their backers were still active. He called upon the provincial government to dwell deep into the reasons in the spurt of targeting high profile and high value individual and whether it was part of some larger plan hatched by the militants and their backers. Asif Zardari also prayed for eternal rest to the soul of Qawwal Amjad Sabri and patience to members of the bereaved family.
