Cotton farmers have been told to take timely measures to save their crops from possible pesticide attacks. A warning issued by the Punjab Agriculture Department on Wednesday also said its Pest Warning Wing had identified the hot spots of various pests in the province. A report by the wing it had identified three spots of the jassid attack in Faisalabad, 13 of jassid, 11 of white fly, 14 of thrips and six of army worm in Khanewal and four of white fly in Sahiwal. Experts have advised farmers to consult their local Agriculture Department to use new pesticides and rid their crops of weeds because of the post-rain spell.
