On Wednesday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 4,577 million and the number of lots traded was 12,338. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,864. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2,086 million followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1,653 million, crude oil PKR 786.16 million, silver PKR 37.35 million and cotton PKR 14.32 million.
