Iran says it seeks better ties with neighbours

The Director General (DG) of Khana-e-Farhang in Peshawar said that the Islamic Republic of Iran wants better relations with its neighbouring countries. He was talking to reporters during visit to Peshawar Press Club (PPC) on Thursday. Ali Yousofi said that Iran and its people are peaceful and want durable tranquillity and calm in the region.
Responding to a query, he said his country always tried to raise voice for peace in Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan, because not only they are all neighbour countries but also have Islamic relations with each other. He said he strive to bring both country close in line of cultural activities as he added that a year ago an event in the name Khushhal Khan Khattak and Firdausi of Persian language here at Pashto Academy university of Peshawar. The event, he said that will help cultural sharing between the two different norms.
