On Thursday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 7.60 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,591. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,891, an increase of 0.95 percent as compared to the last trading day. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3.55 billion. This was followed by currencies through COTS PKR 3.45 billion, crude oil PKR 513.36 million, silver PKR 60.13 million, and cotton PKR 12.17 million.
