PSX slaps ban on brokerage firm

30 Jun, 2016

Front regulators at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) have restricted the working of a defaulter brokerage firm for not complying with its regulations on segregation of client assets. Invest Forum (SMC-Private) Limited, said a PSX notice Wednesday, was provided multiple opportunities to clearly segregate clients' assets under Clause 4.19.1 of PSX regulations. "However, it has not rectified the non-compliance(s)," it said. The regulators, therefore, decided to restrict the defaulting firm from opening new client accounts and trading in-house account to protect the interest of the investors.
