Factory raided in Lahore: FIA confiscates counterfeit Rooh Afza packaging materials

A team of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti Counterfeiting Unit raided a factory recently at Shahdara, Lahore, arrested owner Fazal Ahmed and confiscated large quantity of counterfeit Rooh Afza bottles, caps, labels and molding die.
According to a press statement of Hamdard, on Hamdard management's complaint of counterfeiting its popular brand its legal attorney "Checkers International Pakistan" approached the FIA Lahore and FIA Anti Counterfeiting Unit team, headed by Assistant Director, Muhammad Aftab raided "Rajput Plastic Factory", located at Shahdara, Lahore. Counterfeit Rooh Afza bottles, caps and labels were being made in the factory.
The owner Fazal Ahmed tried to flee from the scene, but FIA foiled his attempt to escape. FIA confiscated large quantity of Rooh Afza accessories, including die/mold. Upon initial investigation and indication by the accused AU PET Industry, owned by Mohammed Ahmed, was also raided and counterfeit Rooh Afza labels in huge quantity were recovered. Authorities have sealed the factory and lodged an FIR against factory owner.
Hamdard management has strongly appealed the consumers to make sure the genuineness of Rooh Afza when they purchase it and assured them that Hamdard would leave no stone unturned to take legal action against counterfeiters of Rooh Afza in order to provide genuine Rooh Afza to consumers.-PR
