The Met Office on Saturday forecast widespread rain/dust-thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls accompanied by windstorm for upcountry in the next 24 hours. It said that the rainy weather was expected in Islamabad Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu and D I Khan divisions besides Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Poonch divisions, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, North and South Agencies, and at scattered places in Multan, Sahiwal, D G Khan and Bahawalpur divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
"Heat low lies over North Balochistan with its trough extending north-eastwards. Strong monsoon currents are likely to penetrate in upper parts of the country. Hot, very hot and dry weather with gusty wind is likely to prevail over most parts of the province, besides partly cloudy with chances of drizzle in night/morning along the coast.
