The law enforcement agencies in a raid in Liaquatabad area detained three workers of a political party. According to sources, the law enforcement personnel conducted search operation in Liaquatabad near Sindhi Hotel. Three activists of a political party were detained during the search operation. The detained suspects have been transferred to an undisclosed location for investigation, sources said.
Police shot dead two robbers and arrested another during encounters in different parts of Karachi. An exchange of fire took place between the robbers and the law enforcement agencies at New Sabzi Mandi area of Karachi in which two criminals were killed.
SSP Malir Rao Anwar said that the slain criminals were involved in robberies and rape cases. A suspect was nabbed in injured condition in Korangi after a police encounter as his other accomplices managed to escape from the scene. Police captured arms and stolen valuables from the arrested man.
