KMC Administrator Laeeq Ahmed has expressed deep grief and sorrow on the loss of lives in the incident of collapse of ice factory in New Karachi. On a visit to the collapsed ice factory on Monday he directed disaster management department to complete rescue work speedily and ensure better treatment of those injured in the incident, said a statement on Monday.
Laeeq Ahmed inspected the rescue work and enquired about the incident. Later he said the blast of gas cylinder and spread of ammonia gas caused the collapse in which six people died and three injured. He said the rescue and other staff of disaster management department will be there till the completion of rescue work.The injured would also get best treatment if taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital or any other KMC run hospital.
