State funeral of world-famous social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi will be held at National Stadium, Karachi, after Zohr prayers on Saturday. "The venue has been changed at the request of the State authorities," Faisal Edhi told reporters in the wee hours of Saturday. He said since it would be a state funeral, high level security measures would be required.
He said Edhi's coffin would be wrapped in the national flag. His body was shifted to Edhi cold storage from Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) where he died. Aaj News reported that provincial governments of Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have announced a 3-day mourning on the death of Edhi.
