Panama papers: Khosa steps up pressure on Sharifs

10 Jul, 2016

Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former Governor Sardar Muhammad Latif Khan Khosa Saturday said that Panama Leaks exposed the mega corruption of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family. Talking to mediapersons at the residence of former president Chichawatni Bar Association, Chaudhry Muhammad Mansha, he said that PPP would not make any compromise over Panama issue.
He said that after revelations of Panama Papers exposing the mega corruption of PM Nawaz and Sharif family, there was no justification for the prime minister to remain in power. The PPP leader alleged Sharif family of making all-out efforts for self-directed Terms of References (ToRs) to veil their misdeeds but said that other stakeholders desire joint ToRs to expose the mega corruption of the family ruling in centre the largest province of the country before the masses.
He said that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was trying to exclude name of PM and his family in ToRs. If Premier's and his family names were excluded from ToRs then what would be left, he asserted. Latif Khosa clarified that no power could save the Sharif family from political downfall after Panama Papers revelations. He said that the ruling party was hurting the credibility of PPP in Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly elections. However, he clarified that dictators despite all-out efforts and negative propaganda failed to defame PPP and the no conspiracy against his party will succeed.
To a question, Sardar Latif Khosa said that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar broadcast the fake video of Dr Asim Hussain but avoided to telecast the video of notorious Chhotu Gang. Their all concentration was on Ayan Ali's issue and her name was put on Exit Control List (ECL) despite it that the court had ordered that her name should not be put on ECL, he maintained. He blamed the Interior Minister has established his parallel government and his all steps are aimed to harm PPP which is matter of grave concern.
