It is the duty of the society to take care of the affected persons and that they also deserve sympathy. This was stated by the Member Incharge Regional Office of Federal Ombudsman, Abdul Malik Ghori, during the visit of Woman Jail and Juvenile Jail adjacent to Central Jail along with Advisor Muhammad Yameen. DIG Jails Ashraf Ali Nizamani, Superintendent Central Jail Karachi Qazi Nazir Ahmed, Superintendent Woman Jail Shiba Shah and Superintendent Juvenile Jail Aurangzeb Kango were also present on this occasion.
Abdul Malik Ghori said, "We should continue efforts for providing justice to victims." He said that he felt happy to hear from Jail administration that good food is being provided to prisoners. Superintendent of Woman Jail Shiba Shah said that there are 139 prisoners in woman jail one of which is a foreigner. She said a number of women prisoners are said to be involved in murder of their husbands. Superintendent of Juvenile Jail Aurangzeb Kango said that there are 197 prisoners in his jail who are involved in murder, narcotics, 13/D and other crimes.
He was of the view that they have a model living standard in the jail and all facilities are provided to them as per law. Before this, Member Incharge Regional Office of Federal Ombudsman Abdul Malik Ghori and Adviser Muhammad Yameen distributed Eid gifts among inmates of Woman and Juvenile Jails.
