Eight persons were killed and fourteen other injured in different accidents and incidents in district KaraK during Eid celebrations. Most of the casualties were due to motorcycles and over-speeding related. According to details a truck hit a motorcycle on Indus Highway at Garh Jawar Khan on Eid night resulting in the killing of three riders Sajid Khan, Mohammad Ali and Behram Khan, residents of the same village while on first day of Eid two relatives exchanged fire over domestic dispute in Shinwa Banda, of tehsil Takht Nasrati resulting in the killing of Shaheen Khan and his wife while their minor son was injured.
Furthermore, on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr, a woman identified as Shehnaz Bibi wife of Mohammad Ismail took poison to commit suicide in Ahmad Abad area of the Takht Nasrati while another person identified as Mohammad Aamir was died after falling from motorcycle on Indus Highway at Sabirabad. Similarly, Mohammad Shakeel, another motorcycle rider also fell down from his bike in the Ahmadabad area of Takht Nasrai.
