KP to name monuments after Sattar Edhi: Khattak

KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will not only named several monuments after the name of late Abdul Sattar Edhi, rather have also directed different districts to extend all kind of facilities for expanding of activities of Edhi Foundation. He also announced the provision of land to Edhi Foundation in six districts.
He expressed these views while talking to media persons after expressing condolence with the family of Abdul Sattar Edhi and laying of a floral wreath on his grave in Karachi on Sunday.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Speaker, KP Assembly, Asad Qaiser, Special Assistant on Information, Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani, PTI MNA Arif Alvi and local party leadership.
The Chief Minister said that they on behalf of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government have come to Karachi to pray for the eternal peace of late Abdul Sattar Edhi. He said that Edhi Foundation will not only be provided land according to their requirement of social activities, rather the provincial government will also look into the matter how to pay rich tributes to the iconic social worker in more better manner.
The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that Edhi Foundation is not only a good organisation but also an outstanding platform for philanthropic activities. However, he said that any step forward in this regard will be taken in consultations with the family of late Abdul Sattar Edhi.
The Chief Minister paid tributes to Pakistani nation and said that whenever they repose confidence in anyone then they do it whole-heartedly and provide them with donations and resources.
He said that several organisations are working in the country. But, they are not famous like Edhi Foundation. However, they are still busy in carrying social services in the society. He said that they respect the services of all such organisations.
