The Met Office on Monday forecast rain-thunderstorm/windstorm at scattered places in upcountry in the next 24 hours. It said that partly cloudy with chances of rain/thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Mirpurkhas and Hyderabad divisions. Chances of drizzle/light rain along the coastal areas over the period.
Rain-thunderstorm/windstorm is expected at scattered places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Hazara and Mirpurkhas divisions while at isolated places in Bahawalpur and Sukkur divisions. Hot and humid weather expected elsewhere in the country, it said.
Maximum rainfall was recorded in Malamjabba as 32mm, Rawalakot 25mm, Murree and Garidupatta 15mm, each, Kakul and Kotli 7mm, each and Saidu Sharif 5mm. Maximum temperature was recorded in Turbat as 45 degree Celsius, Dalbandin and Panjgur 44, each, Nokkundi 43 and Chillas 42 in the last 24 hours.
In the next 48 hours, rain-thunderstorm/windstorm with isolated heavy falls is expected at a number of places in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions, besides Islamabad and Kashmir.
Scattered rain/thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls is likely in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Multan, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Larkana, Zhob, Sibbi, Nasirabad, Makran, and Kalat divisions and Barkhan.
