Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Tuesday visited to hospitals in Bara and Jamrud tehsils in Khyber Agency and inspected overall provision of facilities to poor patients at the health facilities.
The governor was accompanied by Additional Chief Secretary Fata Muhammad Aslam Kombah, Sectary Social Sector Department Fata Waqarul Hassan, Director Health Fata Dr Jawad and Political Agent Khyber Agency Khalid Mahmood.
Governor visited to Bara Dogra Hospital and inspected various departments of the hospital including Emergency Ward, out patients discharge (OPDs) and dispensary. He also checked the attendance of health staffs and expressed his displeasure over the absenteeism. Agency surgeon Khyber Agency and Medical Superintendent briefed the governor about the Dogra hospital. The Governor directed to the departmental staff to ensure and provide basic health facilities to the patients in the hospital.
"The tribesmen had already faced and affected in health problems due to the militancy," Jhagra said, adding the government would not bear the negligence in the health field.
