Five policemen, child hurt in Swat blast

At least five policemen and a child were received sustained injuries in a blast in Bahrain area of Swat on Tuesday. According to details, police van was in routine patrolling in the area when a remote-controlled bomb hit it in Bahrain area. The police van in which they were patrolling partially damaged in the blast.
Police said that it was a remote controlled improvised explosive device (IED) blast that targeted a police van at Kaidam Road. Police official Ishfaq, Ehsan, Jamal, Deen, Waliullah and a child were among those wounded. They were shifted to Bahrain hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the police van was completely destroyed. Police and law enforcement agencies (LEA) cordoned off the area after the attack and initiated a search operation.
