The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) formally launched NTM (Non-Tariff Measure) or NTBS (Non Tariff Barriers) Policy Advocacy Group (Pakistan Chapter) in a meeting on Wednesday which was simultaneously held at FPCCI Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad offices through video link. The meeting was chaired by Abdul Rauf Alam, President FPCCI. Policy Advocacy Group was comprises of renowned members from SAARC Countries, Media Person, Academia and Business Community.
Mian Rehman Aziz, Regional Chairman and Vice President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) appreciated initiative of launching Policy Advocacy Group (Pakistan Chapter) and said definitely regional trade is very important and harmonisation in regional trade always requires significant attention. He said FPCCI NTM/NTBS Desk and SAARC Chamber of Commerce has always played proactive role for enhancing regional trade.
The meeting was attended by large number of business community. The house offered fatiha for the departed soul of prominent philanthropist and National Hero Abdul Sattar Edhi.
Abdul Rauf Alam, President FPCCI, Iftikhar Ali Malik Vice President SAARC CCI, Hameed Akhtar Chadda, Former Vice President FPCCI, Iqbal Tabish Secretary SAARC CCI and Muhammad Umair Siddique FPCCI Committee on SAARC Co-ordination also attended the meeting.
