On Wednesday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 4,563 million and the number of lots traded was 13,471. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,946. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1,947 million followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1,602 million, crude oil PKR 681.61 million, silver PKR 323.37 million and cotton PKR 8.38 million.
