An upward trend persisted on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in the process of moderate trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Makai low type was unchanged at Rs 2250 while the best variety gained further by Rs 25 to Rs 2375, Gur low type was up by Rs 200 to Rs 6500 and the fine type was unchanged at Rs 7500, other commodities held the overnight levels, they said.
On the grams side, Guwar Sindh low quality was higher by Rs 150 to Rs 3500 and good quality was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 3600, Guwar Punjab registered higher at Rs 3100 and Rs 3200, they said. Prices were unmoved on the rice and seeds side, they said.
