An earthquake of moderate intensity jolted parts of Punjab on Sunday but no loss was reported due to quake. According to geological wing of PMD tremors measuring 4.4 on Richter scale were felt in different cities of Punjab including the provincial capital Lahore, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Kamoke and Hafizabad.
People of the areas where the quake was felt rushed out of their houses, office and shops in panic but no causality or property loss was reported from anywhere. The epicenter of the quake was stated to be 37 kilometer South-West of Lahore, 10 kilometer deep inside earth crust.
