Police on Monday arrested two employees of Karachi University from Gulberg Town. The employees identified as Zeeshan and Rehan were allegedly involved in the murder of Inspector Taufeeq Zahid, police said. They were workers of a political party, police added.
In separate search operation, police arrested seven alleged criminals of the Baba Ladla Group for Lyari. During a separate raid at Orangi Town, the police arrested Muhammad Sarfaraz, an alleged member of a banned terrorist group. The accused has confessed to killing eight police officers, the police said. He had also opened fire at a DSNG van of a private news channel.
