Religious leaders threaten to storm into Srinagar

Political and religious leaders on Wednesday warned India that if oppression and suppression of innocent Kashmiri People is not stopped than million people can storm into occupied Srinagar adding that such brutality is unacceptable to the people of Pakistan. Leaders of political, religious and Kashmir organisation expressed these views while addressing "Kashmir Karwan" organised by Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
Kashmir Karwan (a rally) was started from Lahore on Tuesday and ended at Islamabad, Kashmir Highway while passing through different cities. Thousands of people participated in the rally which was led by JuD chief Hafiz Saeed. The participations of the rally were carrying placard and banners inscribed with slogans against the atrocities in Kashmir.
Heavy contingent of police were deployed on the occasion to avert any untoward incident. Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) also made traffic plan to ensure smooth flow of traffic. Over 3000 volunteers of JuD also performed security duties on the occasion. The participants said that the destination of Kashmir Karwan is not Islamabad but Kashmir. They urged the government to abolish all agreements with India till the evacuation of Indian armed forces from Kashmir. The government should not become a silent spectator but expose Indian aggression before the international community.
Siraj-ul-Haq chief of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) said that the freedom of Kashmir is the matter of life and death for Pakistan. "We will fight for the freedom of Kashmir till last breath", he said. He said that if we do not stand with Kashmiri brothers it would be betray with ideology of Pakistan. "Today, the entire nation is observing black day against the atrocities of Indian armed forces in Kashmir", he said.
He said that dubious approach by the present government has created a big dent in the Kashmir cause. He further said that friendship and trade agreements with India have sabotaged the decades' long struggle of Kashmiris. JI chief said that martyrdom of Burhan Muzaffar Wani have given new strength to the freedom movement of Kashmir. "Wani has given a message to the oppressive forces that Kashmiris will fight even with their last drop of blood to get their rights", he said.
Shaikh Rasheed Ahmad chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) speaking on the occasion said, "Those who do not support Kashmir freedom struggle movement are traitors". Amir JuD Hafiz Muhammad Saeed speaking on the occasion said that Pakistanis and Kashmiris have strong bonds and we would not hesitate to give any kind of sacrifice for them. After the martyrdom of Burhan Muzaffar Kashmiris took to the street and united the entire world to support the Kashmiris, he said.
He said that Pakistani people are standing firm with their innocent Kashmiri brothers and they would provide all kind of support to them. "The destination of Kashmir Karwan is Kashmir and no compromise would be made over Kashmir freedom movement", he said. He said that India should stop atrocities in Kashmir and accept four point formula of veteran Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani. "If India does not accept four point formula of veteran Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani than the Indian High Commission in Pakistan should be shut down", he said.
JuD chief said that in past Pakistan had adopted weak stance but now time has come to take a strong position over the long lasting Kashmir issue. All political and religious force should remain united over the Kashmir issue for showing solidarity with their Muslim brothers, he said. Syed Salahuddeen, Sahibzada Abdul Khair Mohammad Zubair, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Hafiz Abdur Rehman, Hafiz Abdur Rehman Makki, Abdullah Gull, Mian Muhammad Rasheed PML-N MNA and other religious leader also spoke on the occasion.
