Overseas Pakistanis: call to redress complaints on priority basis

Additional Chief Secretary Punjab, Shamail Ahmad Khawaja has instructed the District Administration of the province to redress the complaints of overseas Pakistanis towards Government agencies on priority basis. He issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab in Civil Secretariat.
Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti, Director General Muhammad Hassan Iqbal, Additional DG (Police Matters)/DIG Cap Ahmed Mubeen (R) and Chairperson District Overseas Pakistanis Committee Gujranwala, Rauf Mughal were present on the occasion. DCO Gujranwala Aamar Jan and CPO Waqas Nazir participated through video link. Commissioner OPC, Afzaal Bhatti said that Overseas Pakistanis are valuable asset who are playing a key role in strengthening of national economy.
They are the real face of Pakistan who earned a niche with their hard work and dedication. He said that main objective of OPC is to provide a coherent platform for solving their problems. ACS Shamail Khawaja said on this occasion that there is a need for collective efforts to safeguard the rights of Overseas Pakistanis and the role of district management is very pivotal in this regard.
He directed that an effective strategy should be adopted for early disposal of revenue related cases of Overseas Pakistanis. Different complaints of Overseas Pakistanis also came under discussion during the meeting and ACS issued certain directions regarding solution of these complaints.
