AJK elections: polling for two assembly seats held in Lahore

Polling for Legislative Assembly-37, Kashmir Valley-II took place on Thursday amid tight security. Arrangements were made with 10 polling stations for 3,935 Kashmiri voters to use their right to vote for the constituency LA-37 Kashmir Valley-II in Lahore. There are 2,172 registered men and 1,763 women voters.
There were two polling stations at the Government Girls High School, Tibbi Park and Qila Lakshman Singh, while others included Government Model School, Shah Muhammad Ghaus, Delhi Gate Lahore, City District Government Girls School, Shadbagh near Gol Bagh, MC Model Boys School, Misri Shah, City District Girls High School, Mochi Gate Lahore, Government Chishtia High School, Islampura, Lahore and Government Home Economic College, Gulberg, Lahore.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have fielded their candidates, Ghulam Abbas Mir, Syed Omar Sharif Bokhari and Diwan Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, respectively, for the Valley seat. Nineteen stations were also set up for 4,583 voters of LA-30 Azad Jammu and Kashmir constituency LA-30 in Lahore. The voters included 2,704 men and 1,879 women.
There were two polling stations at City District Government Girls School and Weaving Factory, Shahdara. Other stations included City District Government Boys High School GT Road near Ferozwala Katchery Shahdara, Government Boys High School Qila Lakshman Singh, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Girls High School Siddique Pura Badami Bagh, Government Islamia High School Sheranwala Gate, City Distt Government Boys Middle School, Naulakha Park near police station Misri Shah, Government High School Goray Shah, Government High School for Boys Baghbanpura.
The Government Iqbal High School Gari-Shahu, Government Muslim High School Sadar Bazar Lahore Cantt, Government High School Walton Lahore, Government Elementary School Kot Lakhpat Chungi Amar Saddu, Government High School Green Town Lahore, Government Army Memorial High School Model Town Lahore and Government ND High School Ichrra were also among the stations.
