The lowest offer in an international tender from Tunisia's state grains agency on Thursday to purchase 142,000 tonnes of soft milling wheat was $177.69 a tonne c&f for optional-origin supplies, European traders said. No purchase has yet been made and results are expected later on Thursday, they said.
Lowest offer in the tender to buy 67,000 tonnes of durum wheat was $257.99 a tonne c&f and the lowest offer in the tender for 100,000 tonnes of feed barley was $164.39 a tonne c&f, they said. The agency does not always buy the lowest offer if other conditions connected with the offer are seen as unattractive. The tender sought grains sourced from optional origins, they said. The wheat was sought in five 25,000 tonne consignments and one of 17,000 tonnes for shipment between September 25 and December 15 depending on origin, they said. The durum was sought in two 25,000 tonne consignments and one of 17,000 tonnes for shipment between October 25 and December 25 also depending on origin, they said.
