On Wednesday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 7,510 million and the number of lots traded was 15,828. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,948. Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 3,240 million followed by gold PKR 3,169 million, crude oil PKR 753.43 million, silver PKR 343.03 million and cotton PKR 3.49 million.
