On Thursday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 3,484 million and the number of lots traded was 8,691. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,949. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1,579 million followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1,249 million, crude oil PKR 349.61 million, silver PKR 297.89 million and cotton PKR 7.62 million.
