Bid to smuggle cattle foiled

The political administration of Khyber Agency foiled cattle smuggling attempt to Afghanistan and took into possession six trucks loaded with cattle. According to Assistant Political Agent (APA), Tehsil Jamrud, Zia-ur-Rehman Marwat, the action was taken on a tip-off regarding the smuggling of cattle to Afghanistan. He said that the personnel of Khasadar Force were put on red alert, which started the search of all trucks coming from Peshawar at Takhta Bag Check Post.
During the checking, the personnel of Khasar Force recovered 48 vehicles loaded in six trucks. The political administration has taken all trucks, cattle and smugglers into custody and shifted them to Tehsil Compound Jamrud.
Meanwhile, the political administration also seized a huge cache of narcotics and arrested an accused while the vehicle was also took into possession.
