GGI, Mineral Park to be established in KP

Secretary Minerals, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zaheer-ul-Islam has said that a Gems & Gemological Institute (GGI) will be established soon. The scheme, he said will cost Rs 100 million while a Mineral Park will also be established in the metropolis soon.
He expressed these views during his visit to the office of All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association (APCEA). He is the first senior official of the Minerals Department, which had visited the office during the period of last five years. After hearing the problems of the commercial exporters, he assured them of leaving no stone unturned in the resolution of their problems. He also offered one free stall to the association in the upcoming 3-day exhibition in Islamabad.
Chairman, APCEA, Zulfiqar Ahmad Siddiqui thanked the Secretary Minerals on visiting the office of association and said that co-ordination should not closed and the holding of at least one such meeting on monthly basis would prove very beneficial and the department will remain aware of their problems. At the end of the function, the office bearers of APCEA presented shields to Secretary Minerals, Zaheer-ul-Islam and Director Planning & Development, Bilal Khisro. Later, the Secretary Minerals also visited Gemstone Market in Namak Mandi.
