Unity among Pakhtuns to strengthen federation: QWP chief

Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has said that the unity of Pakhtuns will not only be a harbinger of change in their lives but it would also strengthen the federation of Pakistan. Sherpao said that the Pukhtun positively contributed towards the progress and development of the country and if they got united it would further boost up their energies to play vital role in the mainstream.
He stated this during a meeting of a delegation of QWP Baluchistan chapter, which called on him at Watan Kor Peshawar. The delegation was led by leader Samiullah Luni. The delegation apprised the party Chairman about the organisational matters and issues pertaining to Pukhtuns in Baluchistan.
Sherpao expressed satisfaction over the party reorganisation process in Baluchistan and appreciated the setting up of party organisation in 12 districts of Baluchistan.
QWP chief contended that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had provided ample opportunities for the socio-economic uplift of southern Pukhtuns which would not only enhance their living standard but it would also lead them to better social status in the society. On the occasion QWP provincial chief and senior minister Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao, General Secretary, Hashim Babar, party leaders Jamil Marghuz, Asad Afridi and others were also present.
