Cybercrimes bill to be tabled in National Assembly

The government would present the Cyber Crimes Bill to the current session of National Assembly for consideration. A meeting of laws review committee Finance Minister chaired on Monday reviewed the bill passed by the Senate with a slew of amendments. The meeting after detailed deliberations decided to present the bill to the ongoing session of lower house.
The Committee also discussed the impending legislation related to INGOs and decided that the draft be finalised soon, so that the bill could be presented to the Parliament for enactment. Members of the committee also had an exchange of views on different proposals for bringing about improvements in the legislative procedures. Federal Minister for Law, Zahid Hamid, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid, Minister of State for Information Technology, Anusha Rehman Khan, Attorney General of Pakistan Ashtar Ausaf Ali and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Law, Barrister Zafarullah Khan attended the meeting.-PR
