Dar must pay attention to dwindling exports: PBIF chief

President of Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF), Mian Zahid Hussain has said that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar should take notice of the performance of export sector which is going down due to incompetence of some officials. He said that business leaders should play their role in the early release of stuck up refunds worth Rs 220 billion.
He said that imposition of 45 percent taxes on import of dry mils will not only damage investment and public health but also frustrate EU which can damage feeble export sector. He lauded Dar for resolving dispute over property valuation in a peaceful manner. Mian Zahid Hussain said that finance minister is taking interest to resolve the issues of business community.
He said that valuation committees have been established across the country while the issue of valuators of central banks has been buried which will reduce corruption. He said that due to Dar's efforts government has generated additional revenue of Rs 70 billion. He also lauded the efforts of Special Assistant to the PM on Revenue, Haroon Akhtar, Chairman FBR and President FPCCI, Abdul Rauf Alam in this regard.
