An accountability court sought on Friday details of former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar's assets, which were seized in a corruption case filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

During the hearing, accountability court Judge Muhammad Bashir asked NAB's Deputy Prosecutor Imran Shafiq to submit details of Dar's properties that were seized, local media reported.

On Thursday, NAB filed a petitioned in the accountability court requesting to sell the seized assets of the former finance minister. In his petition, NAB prosecutor said that Dar has been absconding the court proceedings for the past six months. The prosecutor added that some assets were already seized, whereas, others were out of the court's control.

FIA issues red warrants for Ishaq Dar, approaches Interpol

After the Panama Papers revelation, NAB filed a corruption reference against Dar for owing assets beyond his known source of income. He has been absconding the court proceedings since last year and is currently staying in London.

He has already been declared a proclaimed offender by an accountability court due to his failure to appear before the court. Meanwhile, on July 14, Federal Investigation Agency issued red warrants and approached Interpol for help bringing Dar.
