Water plants, ice factories sealed

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed four water plants and two ice factories on Wednesday on the charges of flouting rules of hygiene and not having license to carry out food business. As per details Gulberg Town team sealed two water plants namely 'pure project' and 'poora pani' in Gul Bahar Colony of the city as they were working without any license.
These units had also employed workers without medical certificates. The team also collected samples of water from these units for further analysis and proceedings. While another team of the Authority found fungus in water being sold by 'Aqua Spring Water' plant in Model Town area. The team closed down the unit which was also running without license. Samples of water were also collected for further proceedings.
Moreover, PFA teams took actions against 'Aqua line industry' in Kot Lakhpat for not having license of food business and employing workers without medical certificates. Aziz Bhatti Town and Wagha Town team closed down two ice factories in its jurisdiction namely Ashfaq Ice Factory and Ahmad Ice Factory Allama Iqbal Town team sealed one 'Abbas Naan Shop'.
