Bollywood's Ranbir Kapoor rang in his 36th birthday today surrounded by his family and his fellow actress and girlfriend Alia Bhatt.
A family get together was hosted by his aunt Rima Jain, who shares the same birthday with Ranbir. Girlfriend Alia, her mother Soni Razdan and Ranbir’s mom Neetu Kapoor were all there for the special occasion.
Neetu shared the picture from the private birthday party on Instagram. Neetu captioned her post, adding hashtags ‘love him’ and ‘best in the world’.
However, it was Alia's post on Instagram for her beau that grabbed everyone’s attention. Sharing a picture of Ranbir, she wrote, “Happy Birthday sunshine”.
Though Ranbir and Alia haven’t opened up much about their relationship, their parents have often expressed their fondness for their kid’s choice. Ranbir's father Rishi Kapoor in an interview with Mumbai Mirror said, “Neetu likes her, I like her, Ranbir likes her.” Alia's mother Soni also, in a recent interview, called Ranbir a ‘lovely, lovely boy’.
Other than this private family party, RK invited B-town celebrities to have a pre-birthday bash on Wednesday. B-Town superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar dropped-in in their informal.
The party went on till the late hours of Wednesday night. Karan posted a picture on his social media handle, which soon went viral.

On the work front, Ranbir and Alia will be sharing the screen space in Ayan Mukerji's directorial 'Brahmastra'.
